Frequently Asked Questions - Payments

What is a transaction fee?

A transaction fee is a charge by the payment processor (PayPal) when you make an online payment. This fee is collected by PayPal and is non-refundable. Therefore, if you cancel an order, you will receive a full refund for the order amount, but not the transaction fee.

We collect a 2.35% transaction fee to cover part of PayPal's actual fee, which is 2.9% plus a fixed amount (usually $0.30). During a refund, the non-refundable transaction fee is 2.9% plus the fixed amount, not 2.35%.

Will my transaction be safe and secure?

Your payment security is of utmost importance to us. All transactions made through our website are processed via PayPal, one of the most trusted and secure payment platforms globally. This means that we do not collect, process, or store any of your payment information directly on our site.

As a dedicated payment provider, PayPal adheres to the highest standards of online security. They independently handle all aspects of the payment process, including transaction processing, fund holding, and refunds. By utilizing their secure system, we ensure your payment details remain confidential and safeguarded.

For more information on PayPal's security measures, we encourage you to visit their Security Center on their official website.

What happens to the transaction fee when I cancel my booking?

In the event of a cancellation, we will issue a full refund for your booking. However, PayPal's transaction fee is non-refundable. This fee, usually 2.9% + $0.30 of the total payment, is directly collected by PayPal and not us.

Please note that as of October 11, 2019, PayPal's policy changed, and they no longer return transaction fees when a refund is issued. Therefore, while you'll receive a refund for your reservation, the PayPal transaction fee will be deducted.
